I recently had the opportunity to attend the Youth in Policy and Governance Camp II, organized by Pokhara Research Centre. The camp was a four-day intensive training program that focused on public policy, policymaking, and governance.
The camp was attended by 26 young people from all over Gandaki Province. We were a diverse group, with different backgrounds and experiences. However, we were all united by our passion for public service and our desire to learn more about how to make a difference in our communities.
The camp was led by a team of experienced professionals from Pokhara Research Centre. They taught us about the different aspects of public policy, from the policymaking process to the role of civil society in government. We also learned about the different economic theories and the possibilities for development in Gandaki Province.
In addition to the formal training, we also had the opportunity to participate in a number of activities that helped us to build relationships with each other and with the professionals who were leading the camp. We went on field trips, we played games, and we had plenty of time to discuss our ideas and share our experiences.
The Youth in Policy and Governance Camp II was an incredibly rewarding experience. I learned a great deal about public policy and governance, and I made some lifelong friends. I am confident that the skills and knowledge that I gained at the camp will be invaluable to me in my professional career.
I would encourage any young person who is interested in public service to consider attending the Youth in Policy and Governance Camp. It is an amazing opportunity to learn, grow, and make a difference.
